Moon Light -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- about the new age cd Dai Koga........., November 30, 2006 Reviewer: Ang Poon Kah (Singapore) I bought this cd and Dai koga II in Singapore during the early days where internet has not been borned to this world. The music is very beautiful and nice and there are numbers of music in these two cds which will let one listen till oil appears at the ears. Recommended to those whom are interested in this genre of new age music. Acoustic East blends with Electronic West, June 7, 2001 Reviewer: "chefguido" (Royal Palm Beach, FL United States) This is a true blending of hand made traditional Asian flute with keyboard and percussion of American pop. The seemless harmony is relaxing and sometimes a little up tempo. It should be in everyone new age collection..... Master of the Ocarina, June 30, 2000 Reviewer: "maiki" (Kyoto, Kyoto Japan) Japan is supposedly where the 12-hole ocarina was developed, so it's not surprising that Sojiro is known to the general Japanese public whereas hardly anyone in the United States even knows what an ocarina is. For 12 hole ocarina enthusiasts or casual players, Sojiro is known as a master. If you hear his music, you will know why. His playing is phenomenal. And nowhere is he better than on this album. This album, Ocarina Etude 2, (and the album Ayumi as well) have corresponding separately sold song sheet books, which provide a wonderful new repertoire for the ocarina player. Ocarina Etude 2 is stock full to the hilt with 17 songs, which are all either international or Japanese classics. Although expensive for the average American consumer, I highly recommend it for anyone truly interested in the ocarina. The songs include (mostly transcribed from Japanese): Hamabe no uta, Annie Laurie, Furusato, Maim Maim, Chisa na gumi no ki, korobuchiya, Edelweiss, Home Sweet Home, Ichigo, Aka tombo, Tsuki no sabaku, takeda lullaby, yagisetsu, umago uta, hana matsuri, El condor pasa, and Silent Night Ayumi CD by Sojiro, September 4, 2004 Reviewer: E. Rustam (Kabul, Afghanistan) Sojiro is a Japanese musician that plays ocarina - a ceramic wind instrument. Sound of ocarina reminds very much sound of pan flute. This CD is one of Sojiro's earliest works. I must say, that each of his albums is a creative effort. Some recent CDs feature vocal. However, the most remarkable event in Sojiro's music world is a release of 'Iairaikere' - CD that features solo violin of Fionnuala Sherry from Secret Garden! Music on this CD is original and is composed by Sojiro himself. He plays his ocarina with various instruments, including full orchestra. I would say that this is a New Age album. The music is very relaxing. Please try to listen to sound samples. They are available on Sojiro's official web site. Sharing Widget |
