INTERVIEWS



DAVID POTT

David Pott is the founder and European Representative for the Lifeline Expedition. David set up the Lifeline Expedition in 1997. It began as a reconciliation journey linking nations in Europe and Africa that had previously been involved in the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. Since the first journey, the Jubilee 2000 Lifeline Walk in England, David has, along with other members of the Expedition, made a number of long journeys. He explains why the hymn Who Would True Valour See is important to him.



PAUL LEE

Paul Lee has been a gospel singer for over 30 years. He’s made numerous appearances on Songs of Praise as a member of the Adventist Vocal Ensemble and the gospel quartet, Tessera. He talks about his favourite gospel song, Precious Lord and tells us why it is so special to him.



REVD. RHIANNON JONES

The Rev. Rhiannon Jones is the vicar of St. Vigor's Church in Fulbourn. She talks to Songs of Praise about how the hymn I the Lord of Sea and Sky is special to her and why she sang it a lot when she was considering becoming ordained.



SHEENA JACK

Sheena's son Kevin died at the age of 20 in the early 1990s of cancer. For Sheena, the months following his death were a very dark time, and she sought solace in the Bible. Sheena tells Songs of Praise how the hymn Great is Thy Faithfulness helped her through these difficult times.



REVD. RUSS PARKER

Russ Parker has been Director of Acorn Christian Healing Foundation since 1995, which exists to resource and educate the church in the Christian Healing Ministry. It offers a spectrum of services to church and society, groups and individuals, and exists to demonstrate that Christian healing is a sound companion to modern medicine. Russ reveals to Songs of Praise that one of his favourite hymns is How Deep The Father’s Love For Us.



SIR TOM FARMER

Sir Tom Farmer is the founder of Kwik-Fit. He sold the company in 1999 and now concentrates on his other business interests, as well as charity and community projects. A devout Roman Catholic, Sir Tom reveals the story of when he first heard his favourite hymn, Majesty.
