Personal Comments:T/Song - (Sail Away) has a few ticks in it..as this cd has many miles on it- but I decided to leave it on!! Sonny and Terry's story is that of two poor,black,handicapped - (Blind and limp foot) southern musicians who traveled from town to town and city to city playing with everybody from Woody Guthrie,Sam(Lightning)Hopkins,Big Bill Broonzy,Memphis Slim,T-Bone Walker,Muddy Waters,B.B.King and the Canned Heat to name a few.Thier's is a story of two musicians who played together for over 45yr's and becoming the best of friends - the song - (On The Road Again)-sums up some of their travels and true friendship!!! Most people think of Sonny and Brownie as purely blues musicians..but they would be properly described as a - Folk,Gospel and Blues Duo.This session gives them the rare chance to be in a good studio with top studio musicians..giving them a full sound!While working on this an Amazon commercial mysteriously appeared with a sales pitch - $499.00 for a used CD and $9.99 for one song downloaded in mono for Sonny and Terry - 1973...here it is imperfect but free.....ENJOY!!!!!
