Soof nadert de 40 en heeft alles wat ze ooit wilde: 3 leuke kinderen, een klein
cateringbedrijfje, een lieve man Kasper en een heerlijk huis. Tot ze zich op een dag
afvraagt: “Is this all there is?” Het cateringbedrijfje wil niet echt van de grond komen,
haar drie kinderen slokken al haar tijd op en ze kan niet echt rekenen op Kasper, die
zijn tijd vooral in zijn eigen werk stopt. Als Soof tijdens een etentje choreograaf Jim
tegen het goddelijke lijf loopt is er meteen een klik. Even iemand die haar ziet om wie
ze is, zich niet meteen afvraagt wie de kinderen naar hockey brengt en die haar het
gevoel geeft bijzonder te zijn. Als de relatie tussen Soof en Jim onbedoeld uit de hand
dreigt te lopen en de verbouwing van Soofs tuinhuis tot professionele keuken zijn tol
eist, dringt de vraag zich langzaam op of Kasper nog wel die woest-aantrekkelijke man
is, waar Soof ooit voor viel. En hoe meer ze grip probeert te krijgen op haar leven, des
te meer lijkt dit te ontsporen.

In short the plot. Soof, a housewife, taking care of adolescent daughter and boy twins,
next to running s small catering business. Her husband Kasper has a very busy business
life, from which he suddenly takes a sabbatical. This coincides with the fact that Soof's
business takes off. This happens because a celebrity choreograph Jim loves her food and
makes sure she gets more jobs... And from there on you probably can guess what starts
evolve. And sure it does. It does at a leisurely pace and with great dialogs and funny
scenes. This keeps up till two-thirds of the movie and then it loses pace and humor.
Until the last five minutes when the second plot twist turn the spirits up again. And of
course, the now almost obligatory, dancing by cast and crew over the end-titles. If you
are non-Dutch you probably will wonder what a lot characters are doing in the movie. Well
basically nothing, but they are for the most part cameos and therewith sometimes cluttering
the movie. Keep your critical eyes in your pocket and you enjoy it to fullest, because it
is a fun movie. It does not pretend to be more than that and can be appreciated as such.
