Any chance I can get the latest release 3.5.5 ? Said it came out June 8th, 2010.

Here is a way you can get the 3.5.5 version to work:

1. Download this torrent\n

2. Download the trial from\n

http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/pocketpc-software/mobileshell/download.html\n

3. Open this torrent's .cab file in your favourite zip decompressor (I useed 7zip) and extract the _setup.xml.\n

4. Open the trial .cab file and extract the whole thing into another folder.\n

5. Open the torrent's _setup.xml and copy the registration XML nodes from the very bottom of the file, and copy them over to the trial's _setup.xml file, in the same area of the file.\n

You then need to recompile the .cab file. I used CapPack\n

Open CabPack and select the source folder as the folder that you extracted the full contents of the trial to. Set the output dir wherever you want.\n

Make sure you select MSZIP as the compression type (I tried the LZW one and the cab failed to install to my HTC HD2).\n

Transfer it to your phone however you normally do, then select the new cab and install it.\n

It seems like it is taking a really long time to install, but it's almost done over here. It's been installing for about 20 minutes now. I'm not sure if it's because the program is big or if the rebuilding of the cab file wasn't as efficient. I think I had the compression level up too high, perhaps turning it down to 1 or something will make the install go faster.

Also, just in case this registration information doesn't work, you can manually register from within Mobile Shell somewhere. The registration number is 5D5484E63X45 according to the information in this torrent file. Not sure if this number will be good for 3.5.5

The cab install just finished. WOW, this is awesome, and yes, it worked.

I'm not sure if would have been easier to install this torrent, then install the newest trial, however.\n

I know I keep replying here, but I'm researching all of this and just using this place to leave my findings.

On the Mobile Shell website it says that any user of version 3.x receive free upgrades. All they have to do is install a trial version of the newest app and it will automatically register.\n

If none of the aforementioned methods work for you, simply install this torrent (it's registered) then, install the trial from their website and it will be automatically registered for the newest version 3.5.5 :)
