Description
kk650 presents: Regraded The Phantom Menace Regrained Edition V2
Technical Specs: Name: Regraded The Phantom Menace Regrained Edition V2 Size: 1.9 GB Video: 1920x824 H264 23.976 Audio: English 92 Kbps AAC-LC (2CH) Subtitle Track 1: Alien Subtitles in English Subtitle Track 2: English Subtitles Subtitle Track 3: Spanish Subtitles With this V2 release of The Phantom Menace, as well as adding grain to make the film look more filmic, I have also regraded the film to remove the constant blanket red tint found throughout the whole blu-ray. The overly red sunburnt fleshtones of the blu-ray have also been adjusted to closely match the more natural fleshtones of the Star Wars Semi-Specialised Edition V2.2, making this film more visually appealing and consistant with the latest V2.2 Semi-Specialised Editions. Like the Star Wars Original Trilogy, The Phantom Menace was also shot on film, as will be the new Star Wars films coming out thankfully. Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were both shot on digital. Like many, I was unhappy with the all the DNR (Digital noise Reduction) that the official blu-ray of The Phantom Menace had that scrubbed away lot of the detail, making everybody in the film look very waxy, so I decided to try and see if I could reverse the DNR by adding some film grain myself. By adding some fine grain to the transfer, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of detail that I was able to recover that I hadn't even noticed before on the blu-ray. All this detail that had been hiding beneath the DNR had just come right up to the surface, making this new regrained version of The Phantom Menace look more filmic, as it should do because it was shot on film, but more detailed as well, all considered, a big improvement over the original blu-ray transfer IMHO, especially when viewed in motion. I hope you like what i've done here. Enjoy! :) All kk650 Regraded torrents can be found HERE Here are some screencap comparisons between the official blu-ray and this regraded and regrained release: Official Blu-ray 1: Regraded and Regrained Edition 1: Official Blu-ray 2: Regraded and Regrained Edition 2: Official Blu-ray 3: Regraded and Regrained Edition 3: Release MediaInfo: Video ID : 1 Format : AVC Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec Format profile : High@L4.1 Format settings, CABAC : Yes Format settings, ReFrames : 3 frames Codec ID : avc1 Codec ID/Info : Advanced Video Coding Duration : 2h 16mn Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 1 900 Kbps Maximum bit rate : 16.0 Mbps Width : 1 920 pixels Height : 832 pixels Original height : 824 pixels Display aspect ratio : 2.35:1 Original display aspect ratio : 2.35:1 Frame rate mode : Variable Frame rate : 23.976 fps Minimum frame rate : 23.974 fps Maximum frame rate : 23.981 fps Standard : NTSC Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : Progressive Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.050 Stream size : 1.81 GiB (95%) Language : English Encoded date : UTC 2015-12-02 22:02:02 Tagged date : UTC 2015-12-02 22:02:31 Color primaries : BT.709-5, BT.1361, IEC 61966-2-4, SMPTE RP177 Transfer characteristics : BT.709-5, BT.1361 Matrix coefficients : BT.709-5, BT.1361, IEC 61966-2-4 709, SMPTE RP177 Audio ID : 2 Format : AAC Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec Format profile : LC Codec ID : 40 Duration : 2h 16mn Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 92.0 Kbps Maximum bit rate : 101 Kbps Channel(s) : 2 channels Channel positions : Front: L R Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Compression mode : Lossy Stream size : 89.6 MiB (5%) Language : English Encoded date : UTC 2015-12-02 22:02:46 Tagged date : UTC 2015-12-02 22:02:47 Sharing WidgetTrailer |
