The most awaited Star Wars: Force Unleashed sequel is released today! A lot of gamers are so excited to have a copy of this newly released Star Wars game. It’s officially released today in North America, and 3 days after, it will be released in Europe. In just a few days after the first release, this game will be available worldwide!
This sequel features new skins for Force powers that appear in The Force Unleashed, new Force powers, dual light sabers for the player’s character, a new audio system, and an improved rendering system providing richer colors. This game is a must-have specially to those who are a big fan of Playstation Move, as this game supports the Playstation Move Motion and Navigation controllers. LucasArts will never disappoint us with this game. It’s only 720p, but it’s ok. It doesn’t look bad if your HDTV is not more than 70″. I’ve tried 720p games in my 60″ HDTV and it’s not that obvious if you compare it with videos at 1080p resolution.
Gameplay begins with a tutorial, explaining the basic combat of the game. After completing this short portion, you’re tasked with killing Juno, the love interest from the first game. The clone is unable to do it, so Vader does it himself and they rather calmly discuss how this clone isn’t going to work out and will eventually be killed. This is where the game picks up, because, as you can imagine, the clone listens to the flashbacks and gets the hell out of the lab. Instead of politely declining the death and exiting through the door, Starkiller jumps out of a window and plummets to the ground thousands of feet below him in a huge storm as TIE Fighters attack him and obstacles hinder his every movement. Luckily, you have all types of Force-related commands at your hand, so this is not nearly as hard as it sounds. In fact, it’s just the beginning of this extremely fun demo.
The final big improvement is the graphics. Not surprisingly, the cutscenes look great, but what is surprising is that the gameplay looks just as good, if not a little better at times. The falling scene mentioned earlier looks especially spectacular. The environments are beautifully done and feature some elements that are destructible, though it doesn’t seem to affect gameplay in anyway, at least in the demo. All of the sounds you’ve come to expect from the Star Wars universe are present, as well as some decent voice acting.
Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 improves on just about every aspect of the first game, and this demo is only a small sampling of what’s to come – exciting chases, explosive action and beautiful environments. It may not be the deepest action game out there, but it’s a riveting experience that gains you attention and holds on to it with all of its might. The Force Unleashed 2 releases on October 26, 2010 on the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii, DS, and Mac.
