this is a problem i keep having when i try to launch the game. it'll start the chucklefish intro, and then quit.

Thats happens when you copied new version of a game above old one.

It's a .90 build. There will be bugs, some of them show-stoppers, until it hits final code. It's early access, and we have to learn to live with that if we want to play it.

I'm sure they will fix at least the really nasty stuff before it hits 1.0. After all, it's in their interests to do so. ;)

I'll repeat what I wrote before, just to (hopefully) forestall the usual "It's the full game?" comments:


Yes, it's the game. Like the uploader states. The full game. Not an update. It runs. It laughs. It eats soup. It's the game.

That said...

Starbound is out, but in beta. The developers have said this in their Steam forums, where it's currently listed as being "in early access." So don't expect all the features of the final product, and do expect balancing issues and some possible bugs.

"Nightly build" means just that. They're shooting out changes pretty quickly.
