In Starbound, you take on the role of a character who’s just fled from their home planet, only to crash-land on another. From there you’ll embark on a quest to survive, discover, explore and fight your way across an infinite universe.
You’ll encounter procedurally generated creatures and weapons, discover populated villages and abandoned temples. Explore planets dotted with dungeons, eyeball trees and treasure. Make use of over a hundred materials and over one thousand in-game objects to build a sprawling modern metropolis or a sleepy secluded cabin in the woods, and do all of it alone or with friends!
Starbound lets you live out your own story of space exploration, discovery and adventure. Settle down and farm the land, hop from planet to planet claiming resources, or make regular visits to populated settlements, taking on jobs and earning a living. NPCs are scattered about the worlds, offering quests and challenges for those looking for a little extra excitement in their lives.

Instead, they can use either radioactive ores or the new Liquid Erchius Fuel that now appears in Moon biomes Many improvements to the Cockpit interface, which now indicates more detailed planet information including weather and environmental hazards ***Outpost*** The universe now has a civilized hub containing shops, quests, and other services. I was in a rush to go to work so i uploaded the game after only quickly testing the x64 part of the game before i uploaded it.
The game seems to have trouble, well for me at least the first time you try and start the game regardless of the 32bit(x86)/64bit(x64) starbound/starbound_opengl.exe.
First time i tried to load the game i waited about 5 minutes before i killed the starbound.exe in the task manager.
Second time i waited about 30 seconds and the game started for me.
The games needs to preload assets which i why it can take a long time, you just need to be patient and wait a bit.
I tested all the .exes and managed to get them all to work except for starbound.exe in the x64 folder, which would just open and close.
Cheers.
