Stargate Universe S02E01 - Intervention Web DL 720p HEVC 10 Bit DVD Audio AC3 5.1 EN Sub.mkv

This is my first 10 bit HEVC upload; an experiment to test reactions.

There is no Blu ray for SGU season two, so here's the best alternative.

Taken from the Web DL 720p torrent of SGU season two, this uses the actual audio ripped from the DVD, as an AC3 5.1 stream at 384 kbps.

There is also a stereo commentary track; the actors playing Eli, Young and TJ talk us through the episode.

The video stream is an h265 (HEVC) 10-bit stream created by x265 as a 2 pass "slow" preset high quality encoding. The average video bitrate was just 600 kbps which explains the small file size. I feel that x265 has done a very good job, creating a 1280 x 720p video at about 30% of the file size of an h264 mkv, such as the one I took the video stream from (1.4Gb).

An English subtitle stream (SRT) is also included.

It was all glued together with mkvmerge.
