Supper with Satan - Radio Comedy Thriller

New posting of a previously posted torrent, following lhe loss of the original torrent after an HDD failure.

Paul Winchester, Private Eye, is sitting in his office just before Christmas, the answerphone as empty as the whisky bottle, when a beautiful woman appears. She needs his help, desperately.

What follows is a riotous pastiche of the film noire type thriller, crossed with an Agatha Christie country house murder, with some great jokes such as "The house is called Buttocks - please, no jokes about country seats", together with "it looked the sort of house the National Trust would appeal to have demolished". Some of the jokes were topical in 1978, such as references to "Evita" and Princess Anne's speeding conviction, but t remains huge fun, with a cracking - if very non PC - closing line.
