Symantec CleanWipe is an internal tool from Symantec Customer Support that will completely remove ALL of their products from a computer. Due to the way Symantec inserts itself into Windows systems it is often impossible to remove it without going to crazy measures (manual registry editing, using a boot disc, etc). This program basically "auto-nukes" *all* Symantec/Norton products from a computer. So be careful when you run it!!



I work on computers a lot for friends/coworkers etc, and I constantly ran into Symantec/Norton screwing up a system. I found mentions of this tool online but couldn't find it anywhere, till I finally tracked it down on some random FTP server. I have run it myself and it works great - just make SURE you know you are killing EVERY Symantec/Norton product when you run it! It will remove:
