The X Factor judging panel selected the genre in the hope that the music wannabes would display their versatility
as recording artists.
After several catty comments from the judges, Tamera Foster and Luke Friend had a sing off, to battle for survival.
In an attempt to secure her place in the show's final, desperate songbird Tamera warbled her way through
Christina Aguilera's The Voice Within.
Although Tamera Foster has forgotten her lyrics three times so far during the talent competition,
she showed her determination last night as she delivered a flawless performance.
The 16-year-old from Kent visited a hynotherapist this week to counteract her sieve-like memory.
The appointment had previously appeared to pay off as Louis Walsh praised the stunning teen.
“You’re like a relevant pop star in the charts today.”
MEMORY LANE: Tamera managed to remember all of the lyrics!
Although he had criticised her in the past, Gary commended her singing saying: “It’s not about the fall,
it’s how you get up after the fall. You’ve come back this week with a really strong performance.”
The lack of public support shows it may be too little too late for the talent show diva.
Although obviously emotional about the decision, Tamera said: "I couldn't ask for anything more."
Tamera was told she will be “one of the biggest stars” in the future but she was voted off the X Factor.
