"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is a pop song; its lyrics depict Swift's frustration at an ex-lover who wants to re-kindle their relationship. The song received largely positive reviews from music critics. Rolling Stone named it the second-best song of 2012 in their end-of-year critics' poll.[1] It took the fourth spot in Time's end-of-year poll.[2] It has received a Grammy Award nomination for Record of the Year.
