Lieutenant 'Lefty' Enright, played by Dennis Hopper, is a small town cop who is out to solve the string of gruesome murders that have plagued the Texas countryside for the past decade or so. Locals write the grisly slayings off claiming them to be no more than 'accidents' but Lt. Enright knows otherwise and he's determined to track down those responsible for the rash of chainsaw murders [the lovable Sawyer family] and give them a taste of their own medicine.

Tobe Hooper directs and in addition to Dennis Hopper, the flick also stars the venerable and awesome Jim Siedow, the original 'father' figure of the Sawyer family in TCM1; Bill Moseley plays the quite disturbing Chop Top.
