That Lawsuit Against the Bible - Harry Rimmer

One of the most interesting cases to appear upon the calendar of any court in the United States has been concluded in the Fourth District Municipal Court of New York City. This case is officially known as “William Floyd vs. Harry Rimmer,” but it would be more accurate to call it “ Infidelity vs. The Word of God.” On one side of the issue the weight of a great group, composed of Atheists, Free Thinkers, Modernists, Humanists, and Liberal Jews was directed to the task of discrediting the Bible and proving that it was not and could not be the inspired Word of God. On the other side of the issue a group of simple, believing Christians stood steadfast for the infallibility of the Book, and saw their confidence justified in as complete a victory as has ever been recorded.

Harry Rimmer (1890–1952) was an American evangelist and creationist. He is most prominent as a defender of creationism in the United States, a fundamentalist leader and writer of anti-evolution publications.

He was the founder and President of the Science Research Bureau, Incorporated, a corporation set in Los Angeles, California, whose purpose he established as to prove the veracity of the Bible through studies of biology, paleontology and anthropology. He later became a field secretary of the World Christian Fundamentals Association in the 1920s. He said to be a fellow member of the American Geographical Society.
