Description
The Beach Boys SMiLE project upmixed to 5.1 surround DTS. I got a request to post this. It is not my upmix and I am not sure who the original upmixer was. (If you know, please comment.) I got it in 2011, but I don't know if it was new then or that was just when I found it. Considering the track running order, it was probably made before Brian Wilson released his final version, so everyone who made a version of SMiLE was guessing where the parts and songs went.
This DTS upmix can only be played on PCs and HT/audio systems capable of decoding and playing DTS files. You can also play this with Foobar 2000 (with the DTS dll installed) or burn it to a CD. I recommend Imgburn for best results. (Yes, burn it to a blank CD, but play it on a DVD player not a CD player. Either your DVD player or amp must be able to decode DTS or all you will hear is static.) I assume it was made using the Plogue Bidule program.
