This was recorded and broadcast in 1997. Jools introduces the band and then hands over the MC role to Paul Heaton. The band are on great form and are joined on various songs by Manic Street Preacher, James Dean Bradfield, the eponymous Jools Holland, soul man, Sam Moore, The Black Dyke Mills Band (one for the brass band fans, there), country singer, Iris DeMent and The London Community Gospel Choir. Now that's what I call quite good. That lad Heaton can really hold a tune.
