The Belly of an Architect 1987 DVDRip Sonata Premiere

Brian Dennehy is Stourley Kracklite, an architect from Chicago who has come to Rome to supervise a tribute to his hero, 18th century French architect Etienne-Louis Boulee. It is a dream come true for Kracklite, but then he starts to get sharp abdominal pains. His obsessions and paranoias start to work overtime: he suspects his young wife Louisa (Chloe Webb) of poisoning him, he thinks he might have stomach cancer, he starts to steal postcards of Alexander the Great (poisoned by his own wife and immortalized as a statue by Boulee). His doctor assures him that the problem is just gas. This may seem a bit convoluted, but for director Peter Greenaway, this is a remarkably straightforward film.
