I quattro giovani fratelli Pevensie, mentre giocano a nascondino nella casa di campagna di un vecchio professore, trovano per caso un armadio fatato che li conduce in luoghi che non avrebbero mai sognato di visitare. Dopo aver aperto l'anta dell'armadio, si allontanano dalla Londra della II Guerra Mondiale per immergersi nello spettacolare universo parallelo di Narnia - un regno magico popolato da animali parlanti e creature mitologiche. Purtroppo però, questo splendido luogo è stretto nella morsa di un gelo senza fine, per via di un terribile incantesimo lanciato da Jadis, la Strega Bianca. Grazie all'aiuto del sovrano di Narnia, il saggio e mistico leone Aslan, i quattro ragazzi riusciranno a guidare Narnia in una battaglia spettacolare che la libererà per sempre dalla schiavitù del ghiaccio
