The Classic Doctor Who Master Collection

I hope this is the most comprehensive collection of the original era Doctor Who available. It has been meticulously compiled from a number of different sources, and includes the newly-discovered (2013) Patrick Troughton episodes from "The Enemy of the World" and "The Web of Fear" (all but episode 3 of the latter), as well as the "official" Tom Baker reconstruction of "Shada." Additionally, I do include the two Peter Cushing movies. Although many tend to dismiss them, I do believe they are good, solid stories and deserve inclusion as part of the greater Doctor Who saga (I've included a few more remarks on them in their folder.)

In addition, this contains selected extra bonus material drawn from various sources, and to whom I most indebted. Many, many thanks. Additionally, the more recent mini-episode "Time Crash" has been included as an extra in Peter Davison's folder.

Video formats vary and include .avi, .mkv, and .mp4. Video quality, of course, is quite irregular, and I've made no attempt at determining resolutions and the other technical specifications we usually like to see.

Episode labeling is mostly consistent, and should be adequate. The collection is arranged sensibly, first by actor, then by story, with individual episode files inside the story folder. Inside some story folders you will find a sub-folder labeled "Extras," which contain relevant additional files, and may be videos of out-takes and bloopers, retrospectives, "The Making of"s, deleted scenes or alternate takes, etc.; also a few interesting .pdf files.

A final caveat: there is more than 20 broadcast years of Doctor Who here, and no, I have not watched each little bit to ensure it is complete and intact. I apologize in advance if you find any file which is not what it is supposed to be. If you do happen to come across one, please advise me. If more than one or two pop up, I'll plan on correcting that and releasing a new torrent.

Wowee! Just short of a month, and already half a T of Dr Who gone up! And still going strong. BT shows 9 connected, 33 total, 3 seeds, but I'm always suspicious because even when I first upload a torrent, it always shows 2 or 3 seeds immediately, before anything has even gone up. Please PLEASE play a part in keeping this torrent alive and well! Let it keep going for just a few days after it's done, and as I suggested before, keep the torrent file and maybe queue it up and let it run for a few days each month.

Please - K-9 would want it that way.

Hey Wholigans! It's been a week and it looks like I've uploaded the full torrent -- finally! I'll keep it seeded as much as I can, but please please PLEASE keep it going. Save the torrent file itself, and maybe run it a few days every month. That's one reason I put up this new collection, that there was no-one else seeding the other collections and I had to piecemeal this together.

Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965) was the first of two Doctor Who films made by Amicus Productions in the 1960s. It was followed by Daleks – Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D. The film features Peter Cushing as Dr. Who, Roberta Tovey as Susan, Jennie Linden as Barbara, and Roy Castle as Ian.
It is based on the second serial of the British science fiction Doctor Who television programme, The Daleks, produced by the BBC. Filmed in Technicolor, it is the first Doctor Who story to be made in colour and in a widescreen format. The television series continued to be made in black-and-white until 1969 and not in widescreen until the revival of the series in 2005.\n
The film was not intended to form part of the ongoing storylines of the television series. Elements from the programme were used, however, such as various characters, the Daleks and a police box time machine, albeit in re-imagined forms.

Thanks, Rockman! Well said. I included them because regardless of what anyone thinks of them, they ARE Doctor Who stories, and I note in the comments that the deviations from the TV show are really quite minor and have no bearing on the stories themselves.

Why is Peter Cushing in this? Peter Cushing was NEVER part of Doctor Who.

Peter Cushing was in the classic Doctor Who movie. So yes, he was part of Doctor Who even though he was never part of the TV series.
