The Collected Buffy (Classic) (+60 Variants) (DH|1998-2003|Dgtl) (Size: 2.13 GB)
Description![]() Buffyverse/Buffy the Vampire Slayer (comics) @ Wikipedia Contains: 61 volumes of "Buffy" comics, compiled per narrative continuity from the Empire and Minutemen releases of the 49 volumes of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer Classic", published in 2011-2012 by Dark Horse, bookended with cover galleries containing about 60 variants not included in those original volumes, obtained from disassembling the "Panel to Panel" artbook, published in 2007 by Dark Horse. The "Classic" volumes, in turn, re-print the following, published in 1998-2003: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The 60 additional covers include every single one of those of the 63 regular issues (except when already re-purposed for one of the "Classic" volumes), and something like three quarters of those belonging to the miniseries issues. Note regarding the labelling/ordering: The original comics series ran for five years, accompanying seasons 3 thru 7 of the TV series. During the first two years, the comics were set in season 3 (which is to say, they were lagging by about one year by the end of that time), and during the following two years, they were set in seasons 4 and 5 (maintaining that one-year lag). During the fifth and final year, however, an editorial decision was made to set them in neither season 6 nor 7 but in a hypothetical "season 0". Hypothetical in more than one sense, that is: Not only does it not exist in the TV series, but it doesn't even "exist" in the fictional "reality" of the Buffyverse, because those comics include the character of Dawn, who hadn't been created yet at that time. What that last year's worth of comics is showing us are the events before the start of the TV series, as (falsely) remembered by the characters at the time the comics were published. Or something like that. :P The reason for that decision, IIRC, was that Dark Horse had already determined to end the comics series at the same time as the TV series, and since it seemed silly to either stop at the end of season 6, or to skip season 6 entirely to catch up, they came up with that third option instead. Now, the numbering of the "Classic" editions was an attempt to represent the chronological order in-universe. Consequently, "Classic" volumes 1 thru 7 re-print issues 51 thru 63, and volumes 8 thru 49 re-print issues 1 thru 50, with the miniseries/specials/shorts interspersed (more or less) as appropriate. Here, I maintained that in-universe order, but augmented the filenames with original numbering and release dates, so that you can (again, more or less) read them in publication order on that basis, if you feel so inclined. The naming scheme is like so: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Savvy? :) Updated: The Collected Buffyverse (Dark Horse + IDW) (1998->) (Completely Digital) (Empire) "Buffy" (Dark Horse, 1998-2004) (complete-ish) ![]() "Buffy: Season Eight" (Dark Horse, 2007-2011) (complete) ![]() "Buffy: Season Nine" (Dark Horse, 2011-2013) (complete) ![]() "Buffy: Season Ten" (Dark Horse, 2014->) (incomplete) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "Angel: The First Season" (Dark Horse, 1999-2001) (complete-ish) ![]() "Angel" (IDW, 2005-2010) (complete-ish) ![]() "Angel: After the Fall" (IDW, 2007-2011) (complete-ish) ![]() "Spike" (IDW, 2005-2007) ![]() "Spike: Into the Light" (Dark Horse, 2014) ![]() ![]() "Fray" (Dark Horse, 2001) ![]() "Tales" (Dark Horse, 2001-2009) (complete) ![]() powered by ![]() Sharing Widget |
