After showing up at the Annie Brawley crime scene, Gibson finds out that Annie is still alive and soon realises that this is the work of the same killer. Burns and his team are still trying to work out the events surrounding Olson’s murder. Spector is forced to go to the police station after CCTV footage is broadcast showing him near to Sarah Kay on her final day alive. He manages to sweet talk his way through the interview with Brink without suspicion but his request for Sally Ann to give him with an alibi means that he has to return home to face her suspicions. Spector wants forgiveness and is surprised to find out that she is pregnant. As he manages to convince Sally Ann into going away with him to try and save their marriage, Spector decides to make one final play with Gibson that will bring them closer than either could have ever imagined.

Na het verschijnen van Annie Brawley op de plaats delict, verneemt Gibson dat Annie nog steeds leeft en al snel beseft hij dat dit het werk van de dezelfde moordenaar is. Burns en zijn team zijn nog steeds bezig om de gebeurtenissen rondom de Olson moord te verwerken. Spector wordt gedwongen om naar het politiebureau te gaan, nadat CCTV beelden toont hem in de buurt van Sarah Kay tonen op haar laatste levens dag. Hij slaagt erin via vleierij zijn weg naar het interview met Brink, zonder verdenking, maar met zijn verzoek voor Sally Ann een alibi te verschaffen, zodat hij terug naar huis kan gaan zonder haar vermoedens. Spector wil vergeving en is verbaasd zijn om erachter te komen dat ze zwanger is. Als hij erin slaagt Sally Ann te overtuigen om met hem weg te gaan om zodoende hun huwelijk te redden, besluit Spector een spelletje met Gibson te spelen zodat ze dichter bij elkaar komen wat nooit werd verwacht.
