Description



The Forest is an open world survival horror game currently in development for PC.

Build, explore, survive in this terrifying first person survival horror simulator.


The world

Enter a living, breathing forest with changing weather patterns, plants that grow and die. Tides that roll in and out with the day/night cycle. Below ground explore a vast network of caves and underground lakes.


Complete player freedom

Chop down trees to build a camp, or start a fire to keep warm. Scavenge food to keep yourself from starving. Find and plant seeds to grow food.

Build a small shelter or a large ocean side fortress. decorate your home with found items. Lay traps and defenses to keep a safe perimeter.


Gameplay

Explore and build during the day. Defend your base at night. Craft weapons and tools.Bunker down during the evening or bring the fight directly to the enemy.


Fight or Hide

Use stealth to evade enemies, or engage them directly with crude weapons built from sticks and stones.


A new type of open world, survival horror experience

Defend yourself against a clan of genetic mutant enemies that have beliefs, families and morals and that appear almost human.

After launching the game, try pressing Ctrl+Alt+Delete, then open Task Manager from there and switch back to the game. That should help.

I honestly don't have a clue. Maybe, you should try turning off some CPU intensive apps, like antiviruses. Do you have any running in the background?
Or it might just be that the graphics settings changed after updating. Try altering them and, perhaps, you'll find the way out of the issue ;)

The game is in an Early Alpha stage, which means it's just in the beginning of its development. Hence the lack of many features and lots of bugs.
Despite that, it's still fun to play ;)

The installer is downloaded from the official thread of the game at nosteam.ro, which is the official site of ^^nosTEAM^^. I just uploaded it before them :p

It's probably the way ^^nosTEAM^^ installer works. I've checked what files are created or altered during the installation and when launching the game, and everything is just fine. No need for worries ;)

Could you at least describe the issue? I obviously can't help you if you don't ;)

If you have a 32-bit Windows version, it'll take you quite an effort to make the game work properly. That's because it needs a big amount of usable RAM to run (about 4 Gb), while x32 systems simply ignore everything over around 3.5 Gb.
So, you basically have two options for now: to either install a 64-bit OS or try to use this solution for 32-bit systems:
