The primary AC-3 AKA DD5.1 audio track is provided for MAXIMUM surround sound capability and for pure bit streaming support for those without AAC5.1-7.1 playback abilities, are restricted to using a digital connection using fiber/toslink/coax/spdif and doesn't have real time Dolby digital live or DTS-connect abilities.

Additionally advantages of the AC-3 stream is flawless direct real time down mixing to all stereo devices without any potential decoding issues anywhere along the line, be it using laptop/headphones or a dedicated stereo amplifier, it should reproduce very well.

Dolby Digital AC-3 Decoding is required of course, however, VLC is recommended as a media player that supports it natively, most tv's and almost any other media player box does support Dolby Digital AC-3 30 year old standards out of the box.

Played back on half a dozen TV's... played straight through
Great upload!!! Amazing quality packed into a small, compact file size.

More people should upload quality mp4s like this!
Looks amazing and plays perfectly.

Thank you so much for this early present Judas, you wonderful man.

You may have betrayed Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, but you're alright in my book.
Anyone else having issues getting audio in Windows Media Player? I can't get any sound. I'm guessing it's because its encoded in 5.1 sound and I'm trying to play it using stereo headphones, but I can't seem to force stereo sound in WMP.

Quality of the video is exceptional though.

EDIT: I have played the file in VLC which works, but then I notice the video quality is diminished quite a bit, frame rate drops and it gets pretty choppy. I just need smooth video and audio together haha!
Try and enable the hardware decoding features (or disable them as some people reported the hardware decoding seemed to be the cause of issues) in vlc..

Windows Media player in windows 7 should by default support AC-3... it's a dolby digital standard.

However I suppose some countries/regions prevented Microsoft providing the necessary codec to decode it properly.

(plays fine in windows 7 and 8 and 10 here... I know windows vista doesn't have the codec)
Yeah this is the strange part, it should work automatically in WMP, I have no idea what's going on I've tried everything. I poked around the VLC preferences and couldn't find anything about hardware decoding features, or at least I'm not sure what to look for specifically. Any idea where I can find it?

Very frustrating it just won't work in WMP cause mp4 files always run much smoother with it than VLC!
in VLC.. under tools ~> preferences. In the window that pops up go to video. There are several different options to select/choose/check and uncheck. Try disabling the hardware accelerated stuff or enable them. If things get worse you can always hit the reset button at the bottom.

Try a different player otherwise, some people like pot player or what have you.

Quite often when wmp can't read AC-3 files it's due to another codec pack taking control but doing it improperly.

VLC should play things smooth as silk even on much older machines, however if you've got other task or other conflicting programs/codecs/etc running either at the same time or in conjunction, life gets miserable.
well well well ...
look who it is
Mr judas
welcome back
and thanks
The extended version of unexpected journey already has a HQ version, the only difference is that it doesn't have an AC-3 primary audio track which I have no plans on re-doing that movie with.
Thanks as always excellent
