I had to try, so I used the best 4 gig + BD copies of the first 2 I could find to make an 8 hour 9 mins full HEVC HD version using the extended copies + my 5 army recode to make up the Trilogy until a BD copy comes out. First - resize all parts then edit the credits from the 1st the intro & the credits the 2d then the intro of the 1st. Second - edit reload clipped files set size and merged into one. Final edit - Rencode to 1280x534.265 HEVC HD file using the (High Efficiency Video Coding) HEVC H265 HD MP4. It took 30 + hours, if you get a slight sound sync out in the 5 armies part just use - shift key with < left arrow - 6 clicks to make perfect -0.3 secs in POT player.  check the caps & samples.
