Aged 91, in poor health and alone in the world, Ira Levinson (Alan Alda) suffers a car accident and finds himself abandoned in an isolated place. He struggles to maintain awareness and begins to see his beloved wife Ruth (Oona Chaplin), who died nine years ago. A few kilometers away, the beautiful Sophia Danko (Britt Robertson) meets the young cowboy Luke (Scott Eastwood), who introduces her to a world of adventure and risk.
