In deel 1 krijgt hobbit Frodo Baggins een ring in zijn bezit. Zijn oude vriend, de tovenaar Gandalf, vertelt hem dat dit "de ene ring" is.

In part one, the hobbit Frodo Baggins gets hold on a ring. His old friend, the wizard Gandalf, explains to him that this is "the One ring" from the Dark Lord Sauron.

It is his instrument of absolute power to rule Middle earth. Frodo has to take the ring back to the fires of Mount doom where it was once forged.

Together with a dedicated Fellowship of humans, a dwarf, an elf, hobbits and Gandalf they face immens mountain passes, blinding blizzards, deep darkness,

inpenetrable forrests, meetings with strange and wonderful creatures in order to destroy this one ring in the fires of mount doom.
