Flac Lossless Audio or AAC Audio
Trying somthing different with this release. There will be 5 files in this torrent see below for description. You will need to download files 1,
2 or 3, 4 and 5. When you add the torrent to your torrent application it will ask you what files you want to download, just unselect the audio track you DO NOT want to keep. Then once the torrent is download just double click on the Remux Audio.bat and your done. :)
So just to re interate you do not need to download both the audio.m4a and audio.flac.
If people like this method ill continue to do them like this in the future
1. The.Martian.1080p.BluRay.HEVC.7.1-Absinth (will contain Movie track, subtitles and chapters, NO AUDIO)
2. Audio.m4a (AAC Audio File)
3. Audio.flac (Flac Lossless Audio file)
4. Remux Audio.bat (Script that will remux your chose Audio into the video file, this file can be deleted once completed)
5. mkvmerge.exe (the script uses mkvmerge to combine your selected audio track to the video track, this file can be deleted once completed)

Besides HEVC (with contemporary encoder) is only a shade or two better than AVC. A decent six gigs for a two hour movie would be more appropriate
But to use your own words; they're "as close to the original bluray as possible while saving as much space as possible" :p So they're still not exactly HD-Bits internal release quality is what I was trying to say (ie. virtually lossless and completely transparent to the source, though at several times the bitrate obviously).
So I was wondering why you just didn't compromise on the audio in the same fashion which, IMO, 80-100kpbs per channel AAC easily achieves and would be even more 'transparent' to the source than your video encodes.
But now that you've mentioned that you're an audio engineer, then now I know why :p
i dont claim the video to be 1:1 lossless i know for a fact there is loss in the video, but i cant see it :P but i know people that can :P but they are imo at leastas good as then the 1080p x264 blurays rips that exist of blurays if not better :P
Can I ask why you insist on using flac? As high quality as they are, your video encodes are much more noticeably compressed vs the source than AAC audio at even just 80-100kbps per channel would be in comparison to lossless audio.
i use flac because i am an audio engineer, and lossless audio is important to me :P
Ya confusion it will cause, even though ive made it super easy lol because people frequently dont read the torrent descriptions hehe the first seeder should be coming up shortly so we will see :P
