Thank you JYK. I appreciate your works for preparing free encodes for us. this is a rare goodness of yours. everyone knows that. but with all due respect, I wanna people to know better about the quality of your encodes.
All of your movies/encodes are slightly blur with lesser in details. I don't know why you do that, maybe for avoiding pixel color rainbow problems.. I don't know, but this problem has exist beyond any doubt.
The quality still remains without blurring or something like that (if you, I don't know change your settings), like other good encoders like MAJESTiC, EVO and of course tomcat12 & SAM and according to size OF COURSE ABOVE OF ALL IS YIFI.
I checked and compared a rip of yours with a source like AMIABLE, and I wanna people to see the differences by themself. THIS IS JUST A CRITICISM.

That's why the perfectionists of APPLE use PNG for screenshot purposes. :P
Now Flicksick have the more detailed encode, per size of course
maybe other encoders that you have stated might also use this filter.including amiable (never liked his encodes though - my personal opinion-).
maybe that is why the difference in pictures you provided.
check these two screenshots. first on is of a tomcat12 encode. and the second one is of the source he used for his encode.

IMO tomcat12 is the best encoder for the file size. but for every movie i check out jyk 1080p, tomcat12, flicksick releases and then decide what should i watch.
whoever the best encoder out there I still respect all these great guys for providing us wonderful encodes for free!!!
Waht I see is that you are more perfectionist than me lol, you download e different encodes to see perfection jeje, I imagine that you have a heck of tv like a SAMSUNG top of the line or a Sony XBR (Y)
PS. Sharpening is delicate, you have to make the encode in a step slower or 2 pass to avoid grain or artifacts, that's my experience when I encode my cel videos to reduce size.
