Biography
Paul D'Amato was born in California and currently lives in Chicago. He is the author of The Meaning of Marxism, a lively and accessible introduction Marx's ideas aimed at people who want to understand the world in order to change it. Originally published in 2006, a new and revised edition is being published in 2014. A long-time socialist, he is the editor of the journal International Socialist Review and is a columnist for Socialistworker.org. Paul D'Amato speaks yearly at the Socialism conference held in Chicago at the end of June. He is available for speaking engagements around the country and can be reached at pdamato@isreview.org.
