Description The Next Star Show Description: The Next Star is a Canadian reality television show on YTV hosted by Adamo Ruggiero. The show is a competition to find the most talented singer in Canada who is under 15 years of age. Adamo Ruggiero returned as the host for season 5, with Keshia Chante, Mark Spicoluk, and Tara Oram as new judges. The season premiered on July 16, 2012. There are also new segments and a new wild card. The wild card is that at the end of all the auditions 1 person who didn't get chosen at first will be chosen then. That will make a top 13. Capper note: Season 6 starts this week, so I figured I may as well get season 5 out there for anyone who wants to see it. Season 5 was 11 episodes. The 11th episode was a live finale, and ran overtime. My DVR missed the last minute(s) of the episode. I had no idea this would happen, sorry. The episode did not repeat. Very little is missing. The winner announcement is there, before it cut off. Episodes 12 and 13 are specials that aired in December 2012. One special is a "winner special", focused on the winner of the season.
