One Piece: Ocean of Lies, é o RPG baseado no mundo de One Piece onde sua liberdade é extremamente grande. Como os grandes RPGs de antigamente, o jogo segue os padrões antigos de poder explorar praticamente qualquer lugar exposto no mapa.
O jogo é ambientado depois do Time Skip, e segue uma história totalmente nova e independente do mangá/anime de One Piece, ou seja, se você nunca viu One Piece, poderá jogar o game tranquilamente.
Durante uma época fria, em uma noite chuvosa, uma criança está sozinha, abandonada por alguém e por algum motivo, nesse tempo a criança é encontrada por um senhor que estava recolhendo seus pertences em meio a chuva e frio. O senhor, fica então com pena da criança e resolve trazê-la para sua casa, afinal, ela morreria se continuasse ali. Após isso, acontece uma série de eventos que irão levar à uma busca por respostas. O objetivo principal da personagem do game não é o mesmo do de muitos piratas no mundo de One Piece(se tornar o Rei dos Piratas) e sim, encontrar a verdade por trás dos acontecimentos misteriosos que irão ser seguidos após esse encontro entre o velho e a criança.
De acordo com o desenrolar da história, você encontrará vilões antigos do mundo de One Piece, assim como lugares já visitados pelos Chapéu de Palha e Cia. Você viajará pela Grand Line, enfrentando monstros, piratas, marinheiros. Irá evoluir sua tripulação, aprender técnicas, criar laços com eles.
Bom, após vermos essa pequena sinopse, podemos agora citar algumas dos seus recursos, etc:

• Sistema de Akuma no Mi: Isso mesmo! Que tal você poder comer as famosas Akuma no Mi? Ter poderes inimigináveis? Novas habilidades e tudo mais! Você ganhará um bônus no status(depende da AnM), novas habilidades e muito mais. Mas não pense que irá ser fácil!
• Classes: Escolha entre as diversas classes do jogo! Cada classe terá suas próprias habilidades, status, curva de aprendizagem, fraquezas e pontos fortes;
• História: Totalmente nova, independente do mangá/anime, cheia de drama, comédia, ação, tudo que você possa imaginar;
• Vilões: Você, além de se encontrar com vilões antigos que já foram derrotados, irá se encontrar com novos vilões com habilidades totalmente novas;
• Tripulação: Você poderá evoluir cada membro de sua tripulação, poderá também faze-los comer AnM e várias outras coisas;
