This work reviews archaeological research completed in Denmark through the 1970s that describes the earliest Danish settlements. Jensen divides this research into four sections: hunters and gatherers (pre-4200 BCE); first farmers (4200-2800 BCE); a transitional period with some commerce (2800-500 BCE); the chiefdoms of the Iron Age (500 BCE - 800). Well illustrated.
