Street Fighting Man – Amsterdam (4:51) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Culled from shows in small clubs in London, Paris and Amsterdam, Totally Stripped offers a documentary and completely re-envisions the CD, which was recorded after their lengthy tour in support of Voodoo Lounge had ended. Of the 14 songs, nine have never been released. Four tracks – “Not Fade Away,” “Dead Flowers,” “Shine a Light” and their cover of Bob Dylan‘s “Like a Rolling Stone” – are taken from different dates than on Stripped. Only one, the Amsterdam performance of “Street Fighting Man,” appeared on the original. Mick Jagger said upon Stripped‘s release that the concept was to “take the best element from [MTV] Unplugged, the intimate thing of it, without actually doing it completely unplugged.” Keith Richards added, “There’s something about playing these small venues, the immediacy of it. Also we can keep God out the band, because on big gigs he sometimes turns up as rain or wind.” --------------------------------------------------------------------- Related Torrents
