Trying to remain loyal to both the Circle and her family, Cassie struggles with the secrets she has to keep from her grandmother. Nick is surprised when Melissa adopts a new attitude and asks for his help to track down her family's Book of Shadows. Melissa also seeks Faye's help, but Faye isn't pleased with her role as the third wheel. Meanwhile, Diana is hoping to get some alone time with Adam and arranges a date night so they can get their relationship back on track, but all six of them are brought together to fight off a dark force that threatens to destroy the Circle from within. Oblivious to the new danger closing in on their children, Dawn joins Charles on his boat to continue making plans for the Circle, but she surprised to discover that Charles may have more than business on his mind.
