K-Lite with MPC-HC
windows users should use k-lite it uses less of cpu than VLC & many other players The 1 player that uses the least amount of your cpu and memory is SMPlayer https://kat.cr/smplayer-16-1-0-x64-exe-t11941761.html It does seem to do well but I have seen 1 bug in it already it allows the audio become unsynced at times it easily fixed by backing up the video by a second or 2 but if you have a PC that has trouble playing HEVC videos it may help you. My test on it showed ZERO % CPU usage and used about a 10TH the memory of MPC-HC. MPV or MPlayerx should be used by mac users and there are others. VLC has limited support and 5kplayer seems to be a bloated form of VLC that uses even more of your cpu than any other player. I don't have a mac so please let others know what seems to work best for you. Here is a link for MPV https://kat.cr/mpv-x265-hevc...ayer-t11941308.html

YOU MUST have the correct codecs installed and a media player that can play HEVC in order for you to play this file and having a fairly new computer with at least a dual core processor quadcored is better. Not all will play I have an a8 amd laptop that struggles with 1080p HEVC video my i7 no problem. k-lite is the better solution for windows it uses less of your cpu in order to play. I can't help you if you computer is too slow try to step down to 720p if it can't play 1080p the higher bitrate Hevc files that I do are for newer faster computers they may or not work for you that is not my problem it's yours go buy a faster computer if yours can't play them and don't thumb down just because YOU have a problem ask nice I or someone will help you IF we can with your system. Make sure to download a 90second clip before downloading the main upload to see if you can play it 1st.There is no point in wasting bandwidth if you can't.

Don't forget to seed & please leave feedback

This is webseeded so DON"T USE THE MAGNET or you will not connect to it use the download button

Don't forget to seed & please leave feedback

this is a sample clip if you want to check quality or if your computer can play HEVC videos

[size=200]If you missed any of my releases you can find them here
even if the man took them down you can still get them

I've been noticing a lot of people not seeding or not seeding very well while I'm uploading this not only hurts the swarm but hurts you from getting the upload faster I use super seeding (utorrent calls it initial seeding) it helps creat more seeders faster than regular seeding by not giving anything to people who are not seeding it may give you one little piece then see if it appears in someone else's client if it does it will give you more that way I don't wast my bandwidth giving it to someone who doesn't seed for more info go to https://kat.cr/faq/show/what...-seeding-initial-seeding/en/

I definitely see bitrate difference with other one of 335M, but this one has "bad deinterlacer" like artifacts which look even worse. What was the source ? Interlaced ?
Doc you rule 5.1 and the quality rocks!!! Please don't change a thing.Source is great as well. I use brisk for other shows that UTR does not provide.

Thanks for the efforts.
The quality is very good. The only thing you should have in mind is that it has its "blurish" look, characteristic for x265 codec. If you want sharper image go for x264.
you all complained when it only had 2 channel so the only other choice was to do hdtv to get 5.1 the original was larger than the webdl's so it came out bigger as well with the same exact settings other than the audio
the source was https://kat.cm/the-shannara-...4-brisk-rartv-t12051563.html
which was over 3gb the webdls were https://kat.cm/usearch/the%20shannara%20chronicles%20lako/ which are half the size my settings are to preserve the quality and not to lose any of it as much as possible so now which do you want 5.1 or 2 channel bitch at the people who make the sources that's what I get to choose from
But the source is only 8 bits depth and yours one is 10. How come ?
the previous episodes were 790mb (wich is big) now its even bigger? PLUS hdtv?

the previous were webdl no?
could you do a webdl?
could you do a normal size? (400-500 is normal but in this cae even 600mb like the last "the 100" episode you did will be good).
thanks
Hey buddy, now what would be the point? We at UTR are doing things differently and see no point in making our files the same size as everyone elk's. There are 3 dozen HEVC encoders already producing small files. We make ours bigger and better and let everyone one elk's encode the small stuff.

There 43 x265 HEVC's of this show, Lewis's being the biggest. Why do we need 4 copies of the same show at the same size under the same codec? Does grandpa's codec do that? No, so let's look,

https://kat.cm/usearch/The%20Shannara%20Chronicles%20x264/

There's 96 for grandpa's codec ranging from 140MB to 3.6GB. Let us look at the HEVC section once more,

https://kat.cm/usearch/The%2...%20Chronicles%20x265%20hevc/

x265 HEVC ranges from 129MB to 1.05GB
x264 AVC ranges from 140MB to 3.6GB
plus mine is the only 1080p in the bunch for this episode
State the source file, please.
