“Putting the fear back in Rock ‘n Roll,” The SLA is a Punk Rock Band that makes the New York Dolls look like polished professionals. It’s sub-Berry Rock ‘n Roll, stripped bare and laid out in all its unpolished, yet honest, glory.
They do some covers of the Cramps, Dee Dee Ramone & Even Bob Dylan as well as a few of their own originals, the Thunderish title track entitled “Glue & Wine” and the TalkingHeadsesque “It All Broke Down”.
Sure, the lead singer can’t sing, the guitarist spent all the money his mother gave him for lessons on beer and cigarettes, but let’s not dwell on just the good points…
