I have an "old" (2 years old) HD media player (WD TV by Western Digital) which will not play these new MKVs due to lack of new firmware. Apparently, you are implementing some compression in the header which makes old media players not to paly these files. I've tried removing the compression with MKVmerge GUI and it does not work. So does this mean I am going to have to buy a new player after only 2 years? Come on, guys, Internet should be free and it's content too. If you create new formats too often, you are encouraging consumerism in the middle of a global crisis. Be responsible and ask yourselves "is this new header compression really necessary?" Because nowadays bandwith is not the problem. The problem is the crisis and the environment we are destroying because we have to renew our gadgets too often. Don't help companies get away with their programmed obsolescence.
