The Time of Honor season 3

The Polish made drama is a gripping World War II series set against the backdrop of Nazi-occupied Warsaw. Centred on Polish secret agents trained in Britain by the Special Operations Executive, the series opens as the soldiers are parachuted back home to resist the German forces. Sabotage, counterfeiting and assassinations follow as the soldiers utilise the skills they learned from the Brits to defeat the Germans through underground resistance. As conspiracy heightens within Warsaw, so too does the atmosphere of paranoia within the Polish community and their uninvited guests. Locals vow to assist Polish insurgents and offer their homes as safe houses, constantly aware that their actions could lead to the violent public execution of hundreds of their countrymen. Average Polish citizens have become spies overnight, liaising with conspirators and concealing identities in order to resist the German occupation. Warsaw residents live in fear of being shot dead in the street. From the Warsaw ghettos to the German Gestapo and intelligence outfit Abwehr, the viewer gets an insight into both sides of the Nazi occupation of Poland in Time of Honor, following the complex tactics of double agents, false information and deception that characterised the underground resistance of World War II. From series to series the viewer watches each side change and evolve their strategies to manipulate and control their enemy, while also seeing into the lives of ordinary Polish families and the war’s impact upon them.
