Descriptionhttp://thetrianglesband.com/ About The Triangles The Triangles are a five piece band from Melbourne Australia, who began playing together in 2003. They play indie-folk-pop-rock. After two independently-released collections of lo-fi tracks in 2003-04, The Triangles released two albums through Half a Cow Records in Australia and New Zealand: "Magic Johnson" in 2005, and "Seventy-Five Year Plan" in 2007. In 2010 The Triangles' song "Applejack" appeared in a major promotion for Estrella Damm beer in Spain. An eponymous compilation of The Triangles' songs was released through Universal Music in Spain, and "Applejack" spent a month atop the Spanish iTunes charts. "Magic Johnson was re-released in Australia in 2010, and The Triangles reconvened in Melbourne at the end of the year to record and play some gigs for the first time in yonks. People sometimes ask whether the band is named after the geometric shape or the percussive instrument. Sharing Widget |
