This is unrelated to the Koran. It's the title of the book.

The True Furqan

Universally banned in all Muslim countries, like as in "We stone people to death in a public square for heresy against the Prophet" kind of ban.

Some guy, allegedly a convert to Christianity, wrote it to prove that the "impossible to duplicate Arabic poetry that proved the inspiration of Allah" of the Koran could be pretty easily duplicated and is basically half harangue/half Christian apologetic. It's not that good, honestly, but its concept is pretty hilarious in its almost epic level of trolling, for which I give the author immense credit.

Needless to say, fatwas were issued. It turned out the author was the "translator", Anis Shorrosh, who was a reprobate (and not a convert but a Palestinian-American Christian or something like that), so that pretty much negated the moral force of his argument, especially after he was arrested for arson after he lit his house on fire while allegedly getting rid of his tax records in Alabama and blamed Muslim radicals.

Despite his being outed as author and arrested, they'll still kill you for having a copy in most of the Mid-east though.
