As Suze is recovering in hospital, the killer, nicknamed the "Truth Terrorist" by Hillier, calls Hillier to inform him he will continue the second truth in France, and later kidnaps World War 2 veteran Jean-Claude Delplanque (Pascal Laurent). His imprisonment is live streamed as French police search for him. Elise comes to understand that the Truth Terrorist is a mastermind, having covering his tracks thoroughly. What he does not account for is that a runaway teen couple accidentally find Jean-Claude, and are spotted, possibly killed, by the Truth Terrorist. Veronica calls Anthony for help, where he intructs her to run away to London. Meanwhile, troubled teenager Sophie (Mia Goth) runs away from her abusive mother and is taken in by Benji (Paul Ready), a seemingly trustworthy person. Karl and Elise learn Jean-Claude is in cold storage, and he is slowly dying from the cold.
