Description



From the Gothic Voices come a release of Spanish secular and sacred vocal music, spanning 1480 to 1550. It was a period of nationalistic fervor and triumph in Spain. The arts flourished, as well, both in the courts and the cathedrals. This album gives a fair sampling of both venues, with some of the leading composers of the day.

Transfers are made at 256 kBits/s, directly from the disc. Full booklet included with essay, texts and translations.
