Trama :

Larry Talbot, figlio di un gentiluomo gallese, torna a casa dall'America dopo la scomparsa del fratello maggiore. Qui, fatta la pace col padre, conosce una bella ragazza del villaggio vicino alla sua tenuta. Una notte la ragazza e l'uomo si avventurano nel bosco per farsi leggere le carte da un gruppo di zingari. Uno di questi è un pericoloso licantropo che aggredisce un'amica della ragazza. Larry Talbot, per salvarla, uccide il licantropo con un bastone dal pomo argentato, ma viene accidentalmente morso sul petto. Ben presto si accorgerà di essere divenuto a sua volta un lupo mannaro che seminerà terrore per le campagne vicine fino a che suo padre, ignaro della vera identità della bestia, non lo ucciderà con lo stesso bastone dal pomo argentato.
