Awesome stuff from History channel. Thanks for the upload!

Not everyone uses a laptop connected to a TV and not everyone has a play-all media server. I don't. I'm old fashioned and use the PS3 for playback in the living room. Yes, PMS (PlayStation Media Server) can transcode .mkv files, but it bogs down the PC and loses quality. Two things I hate doing. For those wanting a .mp4 copy to play on a X360, PS3, or any other .mp4 device, use rebox.NET. It's a small, handy dandy tool which remuxes the original video track and audio track of the .mkv container into a .mp4 container. No conversion. No quality loss. Done in seconds.

The only time conversion will be done is if the audio track is not .mp4 compliant. Specifically DTS, but that format of audio will typically only be found in the 720p or 1080p BluRay rips. Anything from HDTV will already have an audio track which works in .mp4 files. 720p HDTV will have AC3 audio which works in .mp4 and plays on X360 & PS3. These 480p mSD files will have either AC3 or AAC audio; ready to quickly be remuxed into .mp4.

Even if your device does not support AC3 audio, converting only the audio track to AAC is done in a minute or two.

Use VLC Player to play MKV or any other files.
