Thelonious Monk 1954 solo Paris Vogue, superior sound, FLAC

This torrent comes from the RCA/Vogue CD "Thelonious Monk and Joe Turner in Paris". An odd pairing of material there, but it turns out the sound remastering is excellent. I am very fond of the short solo set that Monk produced in 1954, it remains my favorite. So I am glad to have stumbled into this gem remastering.

There appear to be just short of a million torrents out there of the Monk/Art Blakey 1971 sessions on Black Lion, most of them dead torrents. The source is the Mosaic box set or the many "London Sessions" CDs. The trio recordings from 1971 are precious, love that swan song from Blakey & Monk. The sound on the Mosaic Box is very good for the Black Lion recordings, but the Vogue session is poor.
