I want to inform that the 1.5 version is out.

Seconded. v1.5 isn't a big update content-wise, but apparently they recoded a ton of stuff, which should eliminate the various bugs we've been seeing.

Edit: As of today 5th May 2014 the latest is 1.51, although as I understand it has several bugs which the upcoming 1.52 will address (probably out in a couple weeks).

That said, the no-monster mod hasn't been updated and the modder appears to be busy. There's still a workaround though, which basically involves opening up the relevant save file and simply deleting the monsters as they show up. Crude, but serviceable.
