DescriptionTo Catch A Killer (2014-2015) Season 1 - Crime and Investigation Channel A true crime series following Professor/Detective Mike Arntfield and a squad of civilians as they investigate unsolved murders in the Toronto area. When Donna Jean Awcock looked across to the balcony of her apartment from the building where she was babysitting to wish her mum goodnight, both had no idea it was the last time they would ever see one another. 30 years later, her mother mourns the murder of her daughter as if it happened yesterday. The family desperately wants to know her 'stole her' away. Most troubling for the Awcock family is the behaviour of the Michelle Maynard, the woman who Donna Jean sat for the evening she disappeared. With virtually no contact between Maynard and the family, Arntfield and his team seek her out to re-question what she told police. Her story had been that upon returning from the bar she asked Awcock to purchase cigarettes while the stranger who drove her home remained in his car. All Maynard knows is that Awcock got to the convenience store and disappeared on her way back to her place. While some of Mike Arntfield's team use old fashioned sleuthing to find Maynard, others turn to new technology ultimately uncovering multiple perpetrators who could have sexually assaulted and strangled the 17-year-old that fall evening. One was even wanted by the FBI. IMDB Ratings: 8.3/10 from 56 users
