Too Many Crooks (1959) Terry-Thomas
IMDb rating: 6.9 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052301/ SAMPLE file included Accident-prone Fingers runs a pretty unsuccessful gang. They try and rob wealthy but tricky Billy Gordon - who distrusts banks and fears the Inland Revenue - but he sees Fingers and the boys off. So they decide to kidnap his daughter, only to end up with his wife Lucy. Gordon makes out he couldn't be more pleased, spurring Lucy to take charge of the hopeless bunch of villains. Too Many Crooks (1958) boasts an intricate plot in which Terry Thomas is being blackmailed for the hoards he's stashed away as a renowned tax dodger. Driving around in a Jaguar XK 150, a desirable sports car of the period, his intricate private life unravels as his put-upon wife, Brenda de Banzie, draws on her expertise as a wartime PT instructress to turn the tables on him by marshalling the support of a band of crooks (George Cole, Sidney James, Bernard Bresslaw and Joe Melia). Look out for the very funny court scene, where TT makes three appearances on separate charges before a bemused magistrate, John Le Mesurier. *** General Parameters *** - Name: Too Many Crooks (1959) Terry-Thomas.m4v - Container: M4V - QuickTime - Size: 718.27 MB - Duration: 1h 21mn - Bitrate: 1 174 Kbps *** Video Track Parameters *** - Format: H.264/MPEG-4 AVC - Bitrate: Max.: --- / Average: 1 036 Kbps / Min.: --- - Frame rate (fps): Max.: 25.000 / Average: 25.000 / Min.: 12.500 - Encoding profile: Main@L4.0 - Image size: 718*574 - Pixel Aspect Ratio: Undefined - Display Aspect Ratio: 4:3 - Interlacing: Progressive *** First Audio Track Parameters *** - Format: AAC - MPEG-4 audio - Bitrate: 126 Kbps - Resolution: Undefined - Rate: 48.0 KHz - Channel(s): 2 (stereo) - Position: Front: L R tags: British, comedy, crime, 50s Sharing WidgetTrailer |
